Applications are now open for the International Woolmark Prize 2022. Since its inception, the International Woolmark Prize has awarded and incubated some of the most era-defining fashion designers, from Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent to Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan and Ralph Lauren.

All applications will be reviewed by The Woolmark Company and an Advisory Council of industry experts, committed to discovering and nurturing outstanding achievers in fashion. Six finalists will be chosen to participate in the final event in early 2022.

Finalists are provided with unparalleled mentorship from industry experts as part of the Innovation Academy, including support for product ideation, commercial development and supply chain connections, as well as a financial contribution ofAU$60,000 to develop a Merino wool collection for Autumn/Winter 2022. The International Woolmark Prize winning designer will receive an additional AU$200,000, while AU$100,000 will be awarded to the winner of the Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation.
