Applications are now open for the Midlands Fashion Awards 2017. The 10th annual Midlands Fashion Awards (MFA) is scheduled to take place at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Birmingham on 20 October, and aims to promote, celebrate and support fashion talent from the Midlands and its surrounding areas. Entries are open to up-and-coming and established fashion and accessory designers, stylists, make-up artists, photographers and models. This year's categories are: 

• Independent Fashion Designer of the Year
• Emerging Designer of the Year
• Accessory Designer of the Year
• Young Fashion Designer of the Year (Graduates)
• Professional Hair Stylist of the Year
• Rising Star Award (Hairstylists)
• Professional Make-up Artist of the Year
• Rising Star Award (Make-up Artist)
• Professional/ Non-professional Fashion Stylist of the Year
• Fashion Photographer of the Year
• Model of the Year

The deadline for entries is 18 June.
