CFDA has announced that the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has been repurposed into a new Covid-19 relief fund, named A Common Thread. The fund was originally launched in the wake of 9/11 to benefit emerging creatives impacted by the tragedy.
Vogue US editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and CFDA's Chairman Tom Ford have now announced that they have decided to use this year's fundraiser to aid fashion businesses impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak. A Common Thread will raise and distribute funds to those who have been most affected, highlight designers and tell the stories of those who work behind the scenes in the fashion industry.
Applications will be available through the CFDA website from 8 April.
