British trade title Childrenswear Buyer Magazine (CWB) has announced the launch of its own Independent Retail Awards, which will celebrate performance and innovation in the childrenswear sector. The competition is open to both new and well-established independent retailers, who can enter one of six categories: Best Kids Independent Store, Best Online Store, Best Footwear Store, Best Schoolwear Store, Best New Store and Best Established store. An expert industry panel -chosen by and including CWB’s editor, Laura Turner- will judge the competition, with the winners announced in December. In addition to being named one of the country’s best childrenswear retailers, each winner will receive a comprehensive store marketing package, dedicated coverage in CWB magazine, and digital coverage via cwb-magazine.com. The awards themselves will serve as a platform for independent retailers, recognising innovation and rewarding excellence within the sector.
