Lucy Robinson Public Relations has been appointed to handle the PR for British eyewear brand SunGod. Designed in a timeless style inspired by an endless quest for the next adventure, each pair of glasses or goggles has a lifetime guarantee. The brand originated in response to a disenchantment with the poor quality of affordable sunglasses, and the brand-inflation of the more established market players. They sought to offer a high-quality, custom, ‘adventure-proof’ product at a fairer price. SunGod launched following rigorous product testing, across three successful rounds of crowd-funding on Indiegogo and Kickstarter, and last year sold in excess of 35,000 pairs of sunglasses and ski goggles worldwide. SunGod was founded by London-based entrepreneurs Ali Watkiss and Zoe Armstrong in 2013.
