The Sunday Times Style has announced that it is collaborating with the Black Writers' Guild to launch a new competition for aspiring Black fashion and beauty journalists. The competition has launched in honour of Booker prizewinner Bernardine Evaristo's guest edit. The competition is open to women and womxn who are Black-British and of African or Caribbean descent. You must be under 25 and you must not be employed as a fashion or beauty writer or earn your main revenue from fashion or beauty journalism.
The winner will receive six months’ worth of mentoring from the Style team, including a one-off mentoring session with Bernardine Evaristo. Over this period the winner will also have six pieces commissioned and published in the print or digital editions of Style.
