Vogue Business has announced in a statement that it has officially launched its Sustainability Edit, a future-focused newsletter designed to provide audiences with a global perspective on the conversation around sustainability and solutions-oriented journalism that facilitates action.
The newsletter will drop into inboxes every Thursday, with sustainability editor Rachel Cernansky curating relevant and breaking sustainability news to help businesses make better decisions and gain knowledge and insights on new innovations, materials and investments.
The weekly newsletter will include an in-depth feature and insights on the latest eco-friendly fashion developments and important global issues like water scarcity. Within the inaugural Sustainability Edit, Vogue Business highlights fashion’s “tentative moves” to improve its sustainability credentials and where governments can assist forwarding-thinking companies who may be at an “economic disadvantage” in the feature: ‘How fashion can avoid blowing up the Paris Agreement'.
Rachel Cernansky writes, “This year, a clear picture will emerge as to how committed fashion is to sustainability. Brands have signed en masse to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, buying carbon offsets and developing new sustainable materials — all profound shifts for an industry entrenched in its ways. The jury is still out as to whether this means genuine transformation, but it won’t be for long,”.
