Emslie Creative has been appointed to handle the press and publicity for Peruvian brand Ankura, which specialises in sourcing the sustainable and eco-friendly fiber, Alpaca. The Andean Mode collection for AW16 comprises luxurious dresses, skirts and cardigans that are soft to touch and light in texture. Ankura's roots are based in the majestic highlands of Peru where the design team work closely with the local residents. Ankura has a dream to bring positive change and progress through the creation of a new and improved Peruvian fashion industry that promotes responsible brands, good practices and education for the future. Made using Alpaca Fiber, an eco-friendly animal product that is grown organically in the Andes. The fabrics are obtained through a shearing process that takes place once a year and that doesn’t harm the alpacas in any way. Prices start at £185 and are available online.
