Global fashion e-tailer ASOS has announced a partnership with the British Paralympic Association (BPA) to design formal and ceremony wear for ParalympicsGB, creating a capsule collection for the team to wear as the curtain rises on the Rio 2016.
Paralympians Lauren Steadman, Jack Rutter, Issy Bailey and Rob Oliver can be seen here in the team’s official formal wear. The athletes wore ASOS formal wear for the first time on 16 July at the ParalympicsGB Team Launch celebration in London. Athletes will be provided with a capsule wardrobe of simple functional yet fashionable pieces to wear at a range of official team occasions, with the ASOS design team designing a range for a diverse selection of body types. The designs will be worn by over 250 selected athletes, plus support staff, on official ParalympicsGB business. This includes high profile formal team appearances, such as Team Launch, in addition to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
