Leanne Pero, founder of Black Women Rising, has appointed Sparkle PR to handle the communications for the magazine's launch. Black Women Rising Magazine is aimed at empowering women of colour through a cancer diagnosis. Founded by The Leanne Pero foundation, the publication offers inspirational case studies, treatment advice, hair, beauty and wig tips as well as lifestyle advice and tips for family and friends. The magazine is a lottery-funded project, with all funds raised via sponsors and GoFundMe page going towards the distribution and printing of the magazine. It will not only be distributed up and down the country to hospital trusts and cancer centres but also be available to order for home delivery online too.
