British Airways has teamed up with My 1st Years whereby seven Heathrow and Gatwick airport lounges will be re-designed as ‘My 1st Years Kids Zones’, enabling young flyers to ride on mini aeroplanes, use a range of their musical instruments and access their mini kitchens. Loved by celebrities and the Royals alike, including Prince George in his famous dressing-gown, My 1st Years launched in 2010 and is the UK’s leading personalised children’s gifting brand with a vast range of toys, blankets, clothing, bed, bath and home accessories.
Youngsters travelling through Heathrow over selected dates in July and August will also be given a limited edition My 1st Years centenary backpack featuring a bespoke British Airways design. The bespoke backpack will also be sold internationally on the My 1st Years website. Customers purchasing My 1st Years gifts in the airline’s eStore will also be able earn Avios points. 2019 is British Airways’ Centenary year. The airline is investing £6.5 billion for customers over five years, including new aircraft, new cabins, new catering, new lounges, WiFi, and new routes.
