The British Beauty Council has announced the appointments of its new Advisory Board Members. As important and influential members of the British beauty community, recognised for their expertise and contributions to beauty and beyond, the voices and opinions of the British Beauty Council Advisory Board will help to influence the future of beauty in the UK. New members include: Anna-Marie Solowij, Marcia Kilgore, Liz Collins, Michelle Boon, Frances Corner, Caroline Rush MBE, Robin Derrick, Lisa Eldridge, David Gandy, Mary Greenwell, Sophia Hilton, Caroline Hirons (pictured), Alexia Inge, Sam McKnight, Kay Montano, Marian Newman, Kathy Phillips, Sharmadean Reid MBE, Daniela Rinaldi and Josh Wood. The Advisory Board will play a vital role in determining the initiatives that underpin the British Beauty Council’s three guiding pillars - reputation, innovation and education.
The new members will sit alongside other industry professionals and ten Founding Patrons, and together represent the spectrum of the beauty industry. The Advisory Board will meet twice a year in London at gatherings organised by the Council’s Executive Board to help guide their work for the following months.
The British Beauty Council’s first initiative is to commission a report into the size and impact of the British beauty industry on the UK economy, and the Board will be invited to input into a definition of the industry being created by BritainThinks as a precursor to that report.
