This National Careers Week (1-6 March) the British Beauty Council’s Education Pillar will launch a Career Insights podcast series hosted by their President of Pillar, Education Elizabeth Barnett-Lawton, that will go live on Friday 5 March. In the first episode, Elizabeth will interview Sam Farmer, founder of the skincare brand, SAMFARMER.
Elizabeth has commented: "When I look back on my career as a magazine beauty journalist and stylist, and prior to that my degree course (Fashion Promotion at UCA), a major pinnacle was meeting the leading lights of the industry and, as a student, going to see ‘celebrity’ guest lecturers speak. As an undergraduate, they provided a goal, a real example of a life and career to aspire to. Still today, I am fascinated to learn how our industry’s entrepreneurial stars have navigated their success. What makes them tick? What is their approach? What were the key events that led to their brand or profession taking off? What would they tell their younger selves if they could? What would they say to someone starting out now? And is their success possible to emulate?"
