New non-profit organisation British Beauty Council has appointed Beauty SEEN to handle its press and PR. The organisation is committed to representing the voices, opinions and needs of the British beauty industry. Working and engaging with policymakers and business leaders and all areas of the beauty industry to ensure that the beauty sector is recognised and valued at all levels.
The British Beauty Council has been founded by five respected industry advocates (pictured left to right) - Kate Shapland, Content Director; Jane Boardman, Chairman; Millie Kendall MBE, CEO; Anna-Marie Solowij; Catherine Handcock, Development Director. Anna Marie sits on the Advisory board alongside other industry changemakers including the CEO of British Fashion Council, Caroline Rush. Gemma Bellman has also recently joined the Executive board as COO.
Millie Kendall MBE, CEO of the British Beauty Council, 'I want to show that beauty is a multi-billion-pound sector that offers career opportunities for an extensive and diverse talent pool. It has a history of welcoming and encouraging entrepreneurs, it is a conduit for wellness and confidence, and is a serious business that requires a voice within government and amongst the broader business community. The support we have had to date, which has been incredible, shows how sorely needed this is'.
A number of established beauty companies have already agreed to sign up as Founding Patrons, pledging their support from the onset.
