Edward Enninful, in-coming editor-in-chief of British Vogue has announced the following appointments to the title, effective from August:
Johan Svensson is named Creative Director. Formerly Design Director of W, Johan was also previously Art Director of Vogue Paris.
Poppy Kain is appointed senior fashion editor. Poppy has worked on campaigns for Peter Pilotto, Stella McCartney and Marc Jacobs; catwalk shows for Anya Hindmarch, Marc by Marc and Jonathan Saunders; and magazines including Dazed & Confused, Arena Homme+, i-D, W and New York Times Magazine.
Jack Borkett joins as fashion editor. Jack has previously worked with magazines such as i-D, W, Hero and Under the Influence.
Kate Phelan remains senior contributing fashion editor. Esteemed fashion stylist, Kate was co-Fashion Director of British Vogue before becoming Creative Director of Topshop in 2011.
Leading international stylist Jane How; former fashion director-at-large at The New York Times’ T Magazine, Joe McKenna; former men’s editor of POP and current editor of Arena Homme+, Max Pearmain; British stylist and fashion consultant Clare Richardson; fashion director of Document Journal and contributor to W, Sarah Richardson; and Marie-Amélie Sauvé, editor of Mastermind are named as contributing fashion editors.
British fashion model and feminist activist Adwoa Aboah joins as contributing editor.
Claudia Croft is appointed acting fashion features director. Former fashion editor at The Sunday Times and head of fashion at Style magazine, Claudia will be covering for Sarah Harris while she is on maternity leave.
Olivia Singer is named executive fashion news editor. Olivia joins from AnOther magazine where she was fashion and beauty features director.
Anders Madsen, who worked for i-D and Vice as fashion features director and has contributed to a number of publications including Hero, Nylon, common&sense and Zoo, is appointed fashion critic.
Jessica Diner returns to British Vogue in the position of beauty and lifestyle director. Previously she was Content and Creative Director at Birchbox UK and prior to that she was in the Beauty and Health department on British Vogue for 8 years, leaving as beauty and health editor.
Some of the world’s best hair and make-up artists are confirmed to contribute to the title. Influential and globally-renowned British make-up artist Pat McGrath is named beauty editor-at-Large. Acclaimed make-up artists and hair stylists Val Garland, Sam McKnight, Guido Palau and Charlotte Tilbury all join as contributing beauty editors.
Former Vogue staffer and W Photography Director, Caroline Wolff is appointed editor-at-large.
Josie Hall is appointed senior fashion assistant, having worked on shoots for publications including British Vogue, Dazed, Pop, W and Document Journal.
