The BSME Awards 2018 has announced the nominees for its Editor of The Year Award. Members of the BSME will now vote to decide the shortlist. Statements from each of the shortlisted editors will then be circulated for a final round of voting to decide the winner. The recipient of the 2018 Editors’ Editor Award will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Tuesday, 20 November at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane. Contenders are as follows:

- Nicola Jeal, editor, The Times Magazine
- Andy Lyons, editor, When Saturday Comes
- Thomas Marks, Editor, Apollo
- Justine Picardie, editor-in-chief, Harper's Bazaar (UK)
- Laura Rowe, editor, Olive
- Susy Smith, editor, Country Living
