Marco Gobbetti, Chief Executive Officer at Burberry is to leave the business at the end of the year. Gobbetti has held the role for nearly five years after replacing Christopher Bailey in 2017. It has been reported that Gobetti will be heading up luxury goods group Salvatore Ferragamo, which enable the 62-year-old to return to Italy and be closer to his family.

Chairman Gerry Murphy said Gobbetti “has had a transformative impact and established a clearly-defined purpose and strategy, an outstanding team and strong brand momentum."
