Burberry has announced the launch of My Burberry Black, an intense interpretation of the My Burberry fragrance. Launched this week, My Burberry Black was created by Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey, in collaboration with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and is inspired by the black Burberry Heritage trench coat.
The fragrance opens with top notes of jasmine flower before leading to a heart of candied rose and peach nectar and base notes of amber patchouli. The juice is housed in an amber-coloured glass bottle, with a dark horn-finish cap that echoes the distinctive buttons on the Burberry Heritage trench coat. Just as with My Burberry Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette, customers will be able to personalise their My Burberry Black bottle with up to three initials through the monogramming service.
My Burberry Black is priced at £65 (50ml) and £92 (90ml). The campaign was shot by photographer Mario Testino, under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey and features British actress Lily James, in her first ever global advertising campaign. Lily James will succeed British models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne who are the current faces of My Burberry.
