Champion is collaborating with Tremaine Emory, the founder of Denim Tears, a sportswear brand designed to recontextualise the iconography woven into the fabric of America, to develop a new collection, Champion Tears. Champion Tears designs will include bright plaids and loose-gauge knits, jackets and hats on the red, black and green of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) founded in the 1920s.
The Champion Tears collection will launch in September in select retailers across the globe.
