Anna Bartle has joined CHANEL as Global Head of Sustainability Content and Engagement, reporting to Kate Wylie, Chief Sustainability Officer. In this newly-created role, she will develop and manage CHANEL’s company sustainability voice, engaging across key stakeholders, to support the advancement of CHANEL's House Sustainability Ambition.
Anna brings a wealth of cross-industry experience spanning a diverse range of sectors including beauty, fashion, luxury, FMCG, retail, and technology. With a career that has flourished both in-house and agency side, Anna most recently spent 11 years at The Estee Lauder Companies UK & Ireland where she was Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Regional Lead for Sustainability. In this role, Anna led a multifaceted portfolio that encompassed media relations, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, internal communications, and crisis and issues practice. Alongside her corporate affairs responsibilities, Anna drove the Corporate Sustainability strategy for the region establishing its governance and structure. She oversaw corporate sustainability engagement across all key stakeholders including employees, consumers, media, government, retailers, trade bodies and NGOs, designing inspiring and impactful internal and external sustainability engagement strategies and materials. Anna also led the region's Social Investment strategy across key focus areas of women's health, women's advancement, and children's literacy.
Anna has been recognised in the annual PR Week Powerbook, a showcase of the UK's 150 most influential PR professionals, for six consecutive years, as one of the Top 10 in 'Luxury Communications' and included in the 'Gurus' category of The Walpole Power List in 2020.
