French fashion house CHANEL has launched its first e-commerce website for the fashion division in the United Kingdom, selling CHANEL eyewear.
Following the introduction of eyewear e-commerce in the US in 2015, this launch marks a first step in the e-service frontier for CHANEL, creating an omni-channel approach that is directly connected to the re-opening of the Burlington Arcade boutique, a stand-alone boutique solely dedicated to eyewear in London. Acting as the operational hub, this boutique will provide the CHANEL service behind each e-purchase, ensuring every shipment is personally handled by CHANEL boutique staff. By doing this, CHANEL reinforces its unique approach to e-commerce and e-service as an extension and enhancement of the retail experience, maintaining a connection with its boutique.
The e-commerce site is accessible through CHANEL.com, and launches with an edited range of sunglasses including the latest novelties, exclusives and best sellers.
