Charles Worthington Salons has launched its new BEAT collection, announcing digital influencer Fleur de Force as the face. The collection, which is launched yearly by Charles Worthington MBE sets new trends, styles and both cutting and colouring techniques for the year ahead. As part of the new BEAT collection, the salon brand is launching two new colouring techniques: lash layering and the shaded halo.
Lash Layering is a colouring technique using a brush similae to a mascara brush, designed to create very subtle sun kissed lights throughout both the fringe and mid lengths and ends of hair. The shaded halo is the ‘new ombre’ for 2016. The technique involves taking a diamond section at the crown, and using a block colour of choice from root to tip to create intensity and depth and to accentuate length within the haircut. Charles Worthington MBE and Katie Allan, Creative Manager at Charles Worthington Salons have also created a new cutting technique called ‘Flip Cutting’. Flip Cutting involves a slight twist before cutting the hair, allowing the stylist to create a bevel that compliments a person's face shape. This technique can be applied to any area and section of the hair to enhance volume and movement
