Award-winning freelance journalist Claire Coleman has launched her own subscription-based beauty journalism site via Patreon, a membership platform that allows creatives to be paid for the content they produce.

Offering unbiased, evidence-based beauty journalism (#NoAd #NoSpon) for the exclusive benefit of her subscribers (who can also commission content), the current publishing schedule includes a monthly newsletter, a weekly product review video, and a quarterly long read. 

"This felt like a way to deliver the beauty journalism that I believe there is an appetite for, but doesn't always get commissioned by mainstream publications," says Claire. "I chose the subscription route because I felt it offered more editorial freedom than having to rely on funding from advertising or sponsored content, and because it makes it very clear to subscribers that the information I give them is entirely in their interests."
