Condé Nast Italia has introduced a series of initiatives in order to show solidarity with its readers at this difficult time. Vanity Fair has published a special issue dedicated to Milan and Italy, distributed free to newsstands in Lombardy. It is also available for free across the rest of the country in a digital format.
Condé Nast, headed by Fedele Usai, has extended its free digital distribution for the next three months to cover the group's other titles. Readers are now able to follow the instructions given on the magazines' websites and use the associated apps to access Vogue, GQ, AD, La Cucina Italiana and Traveller free of charge, and follow the video courses of La Cucina Italiana Cooking School.
In addition, Condé Nast Italia will open Vogue's digital fashion archive which was inaugurated in 2013 to mark the 50th anniversary of the publication. Readers can now access the vast wealth of material free of charge for free months.
To access the archive follow this link and subscribe. Once you've registered your account by entering the promotional code VARCHIVE4YOU, you'll have full access to the archive and to Vogue Portfolio, where you can carry out unlimited searches and print high-resolution images.
Emanuele Farneti, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia said: "The Vogue Italia archive is the heart of our magazine; it’s our history and the compass that points to our future. By opening it to our readers free of charge, Condé Nast is offering them a ticket to a glorious journey in space and time. Work by the world’s greatest photographers will take them to fabulous places where they can have a close look at the icons of at least three generations. It’s a treasure trove of beauty and freedom, which we hope will be a comfort to all in these dark days."
