Condé Nast has appointed Elaine Welteroth as editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, replacing Amy Astley. As well as representing the brand’s editorial vision, Elaine is also charged with expanding Teen Vogue’s presence through new consumer experiences and products. In her most recent role as editor of the magazine, she in partnership with co-brand leaders Marie Suter, creative director and Phillip Picardi, digital editorial director, re-energised the brand with a content strategy focused on the political, social, and cultural issues its audience cares most about both in print and online. Elaine joined Teen Vogue in 2012 as the beauty and health director. Previously, she was the senior beauty editor at Glamour, and prior to that she was beauty and style editor at Ebony magazine, where she started her editorial career.
