Elizabeth Schimel, the President of Condé Nast China, has been named as Vice President of Condé Nast International and joins the company’s Executive Committee. Elizabeth has directed Condé Nast China since October 2013 and will continue to do so while taking on the wider responsibilities of an Executive Committee member. Under her leadership Condé Nast China has firmly established itself as one of the most important businesses for Condé Nast International. Vogue, Self, Gentlemen’s Quarterly, AD and Condé Nast Traveler are all published under copyright cooperation with various Chinese publishers. Prior to joining Condé Nast International, Elizabeth served as Chief Digital Officer of the American publisher Meredith and Chairman of the Board of Next Issue Media, a joint venture of Condé Nast, Hearst, Time Inc and Meredith. Previously she held positions at Nokia and Comcast Interactive Media. She holds a dual Masters degree from The Wharton School, an MBA in Finance and an MA in Asian Studies, and is fluent in Mandarin.
