Cosmopolitan Influencer Awards 2020 has announced the winner for the Best Newcomer award. Trans Life & Wife, aka Charlie Allan and Lauren Faulkner won the award for their YouTube account, which was created in late 2019. The couple tell their story through vlogs and use the platform to educate their audience on trans matters. 

The Cosmopolitan Awards were cancelled this year as due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak judging was not able to continue. 

Editor-in-chief Claire Hodgson said: "The Influencer Awards is always a highlight in the Cosmopolitan calendar, so we are deeply saddened to miss out this year. However, our priority has always been the wellbeing of everyone involved with the awards and the ongoing coronavirus situation meant that unfortunately, we could not proceed with judging for the remaining categories and of course that the event itself was not possible.."
