Launching for the first time this spring, Curated Crowd is a new integrated crowdfunding and e-commerce platform dedicated to emerging fashion designers. Curated Crowd not only provides funding and mentoring to designers but also offers a direct sales channel to its fashion patrons. The online platform eliminates the traditional middleman and directly connects emerging fashion designers with the consumer via a reward-based Crowdfunding and direct-to-consumer e-commerce site. In order to support the growth of designers, Curated Crowd also operates a consultancy service dedicated to young designers who are addressing issues such as business planning, omnichannel strategies, manufacturing, sourcing, expansion into China, investment sourcing and much more.
Co-founders Ada Yi Zhao and Kristina Kuzmina co-curate special projects with designers across the globe, enabling them to raise funds via reward-based Crowdfunding directly from fashion patrons. In return, patrons are invited to engage in exclusive fashion experiences. From sneak previews and co-curating a fashion film or presentation to purchasing limited edition products and pre-ordering from designers directly at attractive prices, the experience is authentic, personal and unlimited.
Following the launch of the website, Curated Crowd will launch an additional integrated e-commerce site in the summer. It will be based on an online marketplace model where patrons will be able to buy designers' existing collections and their exclusive Curated Crowd items at an attractive price directly from the designers.
