Tim Noakes has announced his departure from Dazed Media where he was editorial director for the group. A creative and inspiring leader of the company, under his tenure Tim spearheaded the transformation of the print magazine into an award-winning digital-first publication. Becoming editor-in-chief of the title in 2012 and then editorial director in 2015, he was responsible for world exclusives on Beyoncé, Lupita Nyong'o and FKA twigs. Tim also led Dazed’s pioneering campaigns for female equality in the arts and LGBT rights. He has left to start his own media consultancy. Dazed Media CEO Jefferson Hack comments: “Tim’s journalistic talent has helped our business go from strength to strength; his contribution to popular culture has been both significant and lasting. Tim’s been a core member of the Dazed family, and although he will be sorely missed we wish him well, knowing that his drive and vision will continue to inspire those he has worked with and those he will go on to work with.”
