What posts do the best for you?
At the moment I would say the posts that do the best for me are my more editorial shots. I tailor my content to move with fashion trends. I endeavour to maintain a high-end luxury fashion aesthetic to my photos.
Lots of influencers seem to ditch their blog in favour of focusing on their Insta account - what are your thoughts on this?
I do think that there is a transition in the way information moves online. I do not consider that there is a necessary movement from blogs to Instagram; it’s much rather a consequence of hunger for faster access to information and the increase in the speed of applications. I do believe that we need to start tailoring our content in such ways to be up to the game when it comes to fast access.
Give us a breakdown of your average day.
I am not only a fashion influencer/blogger; I am an entrepreneur, therefore, none of my days are similar. One day I’m focusing on content, one day on meetings, one day I’m working on my other business. I own a restaurant and I am also quite involved in charity work, I have been working on my mother’s charity since I was a child, therefore it’s in my nature to do the same here, in London. My days are a tornado of work, while I’m trying to build my own name in the fashion industry.
You seem to showcase great seasonal looks - how do you go about planning these?
Each season, I pick some key trends to focus on and these are trends that I know my followers would love and try to play around with them throughout the season.
Biggest lessons you’ve learnt & what advice would you give to someone wanting to make a career as an influencer?
Biggest lesson? No matter what business you are in you need to focus on your goals. It’s important not to try to imitate anyone instead you should focus on yourself and what makes you unique to help you stand out from the crowd. My advice for a new influencer is to be ready for a long hard-working ride. It’s not as simple as picking up your phone and posting a picture on Instagram.
If you weren’t blogging what would you be doing?
I think I would continue expanding my restaurant business and my social activations on a bigger scale, or I would peruse a career in buying as I have a degree in business and fashion.
What are your favourite brands to work with and why?
I adore all the brands I am working with or have been working with. I never had any bad collaborations, therefore all of them are my absolute favourites!
Dream collaboration?
I would love to work with Cartier or Chanel and have my own style finder column in one of the trendy magazines or newspapers.
