The British Beauty Council has announced that multi-award-winning journalist, producer, director, influencer and diversity advocate Dr Ateh Jewel has joined its Advisory Board. Ateh has 19 years of experience in beauty, social commentary and campaign for increased diversity in the beauty industry. Her journalism has seen her write for publications including British Vogue, The Sunday Times Style, Get The Gloss and Harper's Bazaar. 

Ateh is also known for her award-winning blog jeweltonesbeauty.com aimed at people with darker skin tones and is currently developing her own foundation and cosmetics line for POC.
