Dr. Martens has announced that it has collaborated with postmodern artist Jean-Michel Basquiat on a capsule collection, paying tribute to the artist. The Dr. Martens x Basquiat collection features skull imagery, cryptic symbols and enigmatic epigrams. Jean-Michel came into the art world in the early 80s with pieces such as Hollywood Africans and In Italian; his influence spans art, music and more. In this new collection, Dr. Martens uses its iconic silhouettes to provide new canvases for Basquiat's work, the brand has shone the spotlight on three of his most enigmatic pieces. 

The Dr. Martens x Basquiat collection will be available from 10 July at drmartens.com and select retailers.
