Dr. Martens has collaborated with pioneers of the 90s 'girl's movement' X-Girl. As a founding member of Sonic Youth and subversive style icon, Kim Gordon ‘the godmother of grunge’ defined a generation of teenage dressing, music and attitude in the 80s and 90s. In the summer of 1994, Kim co-created the X-Girl label with her friend Daisy von Furth as a response to the streetwear explosion of the early 90s. Dr. Marten's collaboration with X-Girl is a two-piece collection celebrating the girl's movement and 90s alternative style. Spanning its statement platform boot and an elevated edition of its Original 3-eye shoe, it's made from debossed Docs Smooth leather with printed skater-inspired laces, a gunmetal dog tag and dual-branded sock liner as well as core DM's markings.
The collection will be available from 20 November.
