Asad Syrkett has been appointed editor-in-chief at the US edition of ELLE DECOR. Asad will be leading content strategy across the brand’s print and digital platforms and will report to Stellene Volandes, editorial director of ELLE DECOR. Asad most recently ran all New York operations for international furniture brand Hem and its Stockholm-based design studio. He was previously deputy editor at the design and cities website Curbed and has also held editorial positions at Architectural Digest and Architectural Record magazines.

Asad will commence his role as editor-in-chief at ELLE DECOR from 14 September.
