Jonathan Pile has been appointed deputy editor of Bauer Media’s flagship film and entertainment brand, Empire. Currently executive editor, film and gaming at Shortlist, Jonathan has also previously worked as editor of Mr Hyde, Shortlist’s daily lifestyle e-mail, news editor of the same title and entertainment editor of Zoo magazine from 2008 to 2010. An award-winning journalist, Jonathan won the Games Media Award for best games coverage in a non-specialist title in 2010 and 2011 as well as picking up a Launch of the Year accolade for Mr Hyde from the Association of Online Publishers in 2013. Jonathan joins Bauer Media in the newly created role on 25 January, reporting to editor-in-chief Terri White.
