Pavla Kopecna has been appointed to handle all PR and communications for online fashion destination Fashion Bloc. A pun on "Eastern Bloc", Fashion Bloc is a UK e-commerce and editorial platform that showcases fashion designers from the former Soviet Bloc countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, and the former Yugoslav republics. Launched this year by Lithuanian-born fashion journalist Ieva Zu, Fashion Bloc aims to change stereotypes associated with Central and Eastern European countries through fashion. Pavla Kopecna has been briefed to drive purchase intent and build recognition for both the Fashion Bloc brand and its carefully curated line up of up-and-coming Eastern and Central European designers. The agency will run Fashion Bloc's UK PR office and launch the brand in the UK with two events in October; a fashion debate and showcase at the London College of Fashion with a special guest speaker, and an invite only fashion bloggers event at a secret location in Shoreditch.
