Designer support scheme Fashion East has announced its new designer line-up for its 15th year at London Fashion Week. Caitlin Price, returning from her debut in February is joined by Richard Malone, a Central St Martins BA graduate, and This is The Uniform (pictured above) by Goldsmiths graduate Jenna Young. All three designers will host presentations on 19 September. Following the completion of her masters, Caitlin Price was awarded the Armani Scholarship under the late professor Louise Wilson OBE and debuted with Fashion East in February with a collection blending 19th century elements with contemporary casual wear. Richard Malone is an Irish born designer living and working in London and has previously been awarded the LVMH Grand Prix scholarship. This is the Uniform aims to explores social and cultural ideas, while focusing on quality and functionality. Collections include re-workings of the humble tracksuit in sheers with ribbon stripes, oversized smocked satin tops and cropped halters. Topshop continues to support Fashion East and has been headline sponsor of Fashion East’s womenswear scheme since 2003.
