Fashion house Casablanca has announced a debut sneaker, the Atlantis Sneaker in Red and Blue launching on 16 November at casablancaparis.com. Designed in-house by Charaf Tajer and Steve Grimes, with balance in mind, the harmony between nature and architecture is echoed through elements that reflect notions of man-made, mathematic, fluid and organic design codes. Lifting its name from the lost city of Atlantis, the mythological connection between water and storytelling is considered within the liquid movement of the wave sole, which encases the shoe. While the upper, in direct contrast, adopts the classic design language of timeless sports shoes through details such as perforated leather and punchy suede accents.
