The winners of the annual Food and Travel Reader Awards were announced this week at a ceremony in London, gathering together the best in food, drink and travel. Winners included EasyJet for Short-Haul Airline of the Year; Emirates for Long Haul Airline of the Year; Celebrity Cruises for Cruise Line of the Year, Ocean; Claridge's (London) for Hotel of the Year; and The Ledbury for Restaurant of the Year, London; while Italy was recognised at the Destination of the Year. Sushisamba (London) was awarded for Best Bar of the Year; Le Gavroche was awarded Restaurant of the Year; and Adam Handling at Caxton was awarded for Restaurant of the Year, Newcomer.
