Isabella Sullivan, previously features editor at Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, has gone freelance and announced the launch of NEAR+FAR, a new luxury travel brand for the modern Middle Eastern traveller producing inspirational and informative content. NEAR+FAR will redefine how ‘luxury travel’ is seen in the region, focusing on local know-how, travel trends, up-and-coming destinations and tried-and-tested hotels – where boutique guest houses and homestays will feature alongside five-star resorts. 

The platform aims to lure travellers with discerning destination guides, authentic hotel reviews, relevant roundups and unmissable travel news while inspiring and guiding residents travelling outside the region. While focused on luxury travel, NEAR+FAR will not exclude practical advice like flight deals and affordable hotels. NEAR+FAR will also encompass the elevated lifestyle of the modern Middle Eastern traveller: with drinking and dining recommendations, gorgeous travel buys, wellness and spa guides and tips, style and culture and interviews with the world’s most stylish and influential globetrotters.

NEAR+FAR launches with a curated and reactive online platform alongside a twice-weekly newsletter of the platform’s highlights. Later this year, the brand will launch a quarterly print magazine with two distinct sections: Near, and Far. The print magazine with spotlight two main destinations for each issue, allowing for an adventurous deep dive rather than a top-line look-in.
