Fornasetti Profumi has unveiled new designs for AW15. The new Astronomici candle collection (top left), which will be available exclusively to Selfridges from October, features a playful zodiac design in the Malachite scent. The fragrance has grown from inspiration taken from the vibrant crystallised mineral, a semi-precious stone crafted for centuries. Rich green notes provide the starting point of the scent – pine, clary sage and galbanum, blended with the smoky warmth and depth of cedar wood, patchouli, sandalwood and amber. The Astronomici design, first featured in the 1950s on porcelain plates and depicted by Piero Fornasetti, features graphic representations of the signs of the zodiac, highlighted in gold on a white background. The Scented Candle is priced at £125/300g, while the Large Scented Candle is priced at £440/1.9kg. Another new design containing the Malachite scent is Agata (top right), which features multi-coloured graphic ripples of the semi-precious stone interspersed with hypnotic eye motifs and forms the core decorative element of the new Fornasetti Profumi collection. The Agata Scented Candle is priced at £115/300g, while the Large Scented Candle is £390/1.9 kg. The Agata collection will be available from October at Selfridges, Harrods, Net-a-Porter.com and Amara.com.
