gal-dem magazine announces closure

gal-dem has announced it is ceasing publication. Founded by Liv Little in 2015, the independent platform centred people of colour from marginalised genders to create a community and outlet. Staff at gal-dem cited the magazine closure is the result of financial and structural difficulties due to the pandemic, budget reductions and economic downturn which made gal-dem no longer feasible to operate as a business.
