Camilla Newman has been named publishing director of Glamour, and Simon Leadsford has been named publishing director of Brides. Simon Leadsford will be adding this responsibility to his existing role as Publishing Director of Condé Nast Traveller.
Currently publisher of Brides, Camilla Newman joined Condé Nast’s Classified Advertising team straight from university in 1996. Following a move to House & Garden Promotions, she joined Brides where she has remained for the last 18 years, working her way up from the position of fashion sales executive.
Simon Leadsford is currently publishing director of Condé Nast Traveller, and prior to that was publisher of Brides and associate publisher of House & Garden. These positions followed a career at the National Magazine Company as advertisement director on Harpers & Queen and on the launch of Esquire. He also worked at Punch magazine and at FHM.
The Glamour role is being filled following the recent appointment of Jamie Jouning in the newly created position of Vogue digital director of Condé Nast International.
