Robert Johnston has been appointed fashion director of British GQ, commencing his role on 1 November. Former creative fashion director Jo Levin has left the magazine after nearly 24 years to pursue a freelance career. Robert (pictured above) joined the title in September 2008 as associate editor and was promoted to style director in September of last year. Additionally, Grace Gilfeather has been promoted to fashion editor; Holly Roberts has been promoted to senior fashion assistant; and Katie Grand, Luke Day, Luke Leitch and Lou Stoppard have been appointed contributing fashion editors. A replacement for the role Robert Johnston moves on from will be announced in due course.
