Graduate Fashion Foundation has announced that fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes DBE RDI will join the charity as a lifetime patron this month.
Known for her influence over the British Punk fashion scene, Dame Zandra Rhodes will be celebrating the 50th year of her brand this spring. In her new role for the Graduate Fashion Foundation, she will be a judge for Graduate Fashion Week 2019 as well as playing an important role in grabbing the attention of fashion houses and retail brands to support the charity.
As a lifetime patron, Zandra will also help to launch this year’s graduates' careers by increasing exposure of the weeklong event and offer vital advice and guidance. Dame Zandra Rhodes DBE RDI joins the charity as the seventh lifetime patron, alongside the likes of Victoria Beckham OBE and Vivienne Westwood DBE RDI.
Dame Zandra Rhodes DBE RDI, said: “I have become a Patron for Graduate Fashion Foundation because I think it is a very important cause, supporting upcoming talent across the UK and internationally. My good friend Hilary Alexander asked me to get involved and it was a no-brainer! I think UK colleges are the best in the world and graduates and UK talent need this visibility which the charity offers.”
