Guardian Media Group has announced that David Pemsel has been appointed as CEO, succeeding Andrew Miller. Currently deputy chief executive, Andrew will take up his new role on 1 July and will manage the commercial, investment and financial strategy of the group. He will work closely with Katharine Viner, who became editor-in-chief of Guardian News & Media earlier this month, succeeding Alan Rusbridger.
