Communications agency Gung Ho is changing the traditional, seasonal press day calendar dates, to align with a more digitally focused, increasingly-changing media landscape.
On this basis, new and relevant opportunities are needed for brands to showcase collections to increasingly important online media, bloggers and influencers who tend to work to short lead timings and operate much closer to the season. The appetite for content for both online media and social platforms is growing exponentially, fuelled by consumers and the way they are engaging with media, requiring information and content that can be published instantly.
Gung Ho is therefore launching a new format, remodelling press day seasons to suit mid and short lead media, with a SS18 press day planned to take place on 24 January 2018 (rather than the traditional timing of October/November 2017). The SS18 will be hosted at their brand-new office and showroom space on Charlotte Road, in the heart of Shoreditch.
To ensure long-lead media requirements are still met, Gung Ho will be distributing a SS18 newsletter containing key product highlights and news stories across all of the agency’s brands for the upcoming season.
As part of a yearlong rebrand, following Coffin on Cake PR’s acquisition last April, the agency, with offices in Birmingham and London, has undergone expansion under the direction of CEO Paul Phedon and MD Sophie Hadded, who joined the team in January this year. To unveil the new PR showrooms in Old Street on Charlotte Road, Gung Ho London will be hosting an office / showroom re-launch on 8 November for all media and influencers, including the current AW17 seasons and a gifting suite.
