Harrods announces senior team appointments

Harrods has appointed Amanda Hill as its first Chief Marketing and Customer Officer (CM&CO). Under her remit as CM&CO, Amanda will lead the overall brand strategy of Harrods, overseeing all marketing, communications, visual merchandising, CRM and customer service, digital, personal shopping and media campaigns and operations. Her appointment sees Harrods substantially invest in its 180 year old brand and signals a new direction in creative marketing for the store and online. 

UK-native Amanda joins Harrods from A&E Networks in New York, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing marketing for all the networks and businesses in the US and abroad. Amanda has also served as Chief Brands Officer for BBC Worldwide, where she was responsible for developing the brand strategy for all of BBC Worldwide’s businesses and formats. 

Alongside the appointment of CM&CO, Harrods has developed and restructured its senior brand and digital teams, to ensure the business delivers strategic creative campaigns that speak to one modern Harrods customer. Harrods has appointed Communications Director, Sarah Myler, who joins the business from freuds, as well as new Head of Digital Marketing, Sandra Truesdale and Head of Online Content, Jodie Blackbrough.

Alexander Wells-Greco, Head of Visual Merchandising, will now serve as Creative Visual Director, ensuring creative alignment across all in-store and experiential customer activity.

Michael Ward, Managing Director of Harrods, and Amanda will also join forces with the Harrods.com team to continue to drive forward the business’ online strategy.
