Following the resignation of former Hearst Magazines USA president Troy Young, Steven R. Swartz, president & chief executive officer at Hearst, has announced in an open letter that Debi Chirichella, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has accepted the role of acting president of Hearst Magazines and will lead the company’s day to day operations over the days and weeks to come.
"During that time, she and the other members of the senior team, Kate Lewis, Brian Madden, Kristen O’Hara, Matt Sanchez and Mike Smith, will lead a process of listening and discussion so that we can together plot the course for the next stage of our magazine company’s transformation. Chief Talent Officer Keesha Jean-Baptiste will continue to lead a number of initiatives to further diversify and make our magazine company a more inclusive place for all of us."
