Hunter Boots has launched summer footwear made using algae. The new campaign is starring twins Renee and Elisha Herbert. This is the latest step toward positive environmental change as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to Hunter Protect.

When algal blooms grow in excess, they can be harmful to ecosystems by releasing toxins, consuming oxygen and blocking sunlight from underwater plants. The algae in the material used to create the Bloom Foam Slide and Bloom Foam Sandal has been sourced using a process that cleans up natural waterways whilst saving water and reducing CO2 emissions – in partnership with Bloom Materials.

The Bloom Foam Slide and Bloom Foam Sandal for men and women are crafted from a blend of lightweight blown EVA and this innovative new algae material, and the result is a flexible, waterproof, lightweight and durable style with a lower environmental impact.
